“Playfully explore the world” – Theatre in Science Education

Have you ever noticed that quite a few people who work in art, educational and social professions feel slightly uncomfortable when they think about e.g. technology, chemistry, modern biology, physics and mathematics?
A lot of us don’t have the best memories on our own science education at school and feel somehow that science was just not for us! We just didn’t get it, there were a lot of numbers and formulas and it was not very communicative and creative at all. We didn’t know the right answers…
But Science is not (only) about the right answers. Science is about using and trusting your senses. Science is about the braveness to ask questions, about the stamina to deal with trial and error and about the ability to be and stay curious!
With my background being a biologist, educator and theatre pedagogy practitioner I am using a very playful and professional approach to give you back your confidence and make science education (preschool to highschool) a subject you and your pupils are looking forward to. Book a customized workshop, training or in-house seminar.
This workshop originates from previous work in Europe. We have conducted a three year pilot study on Science Education in combination with Theatre Pedagogy and trained preschool educators and teachers during that time. We found that a lot of educators and school teachers that are feel insecure when it comes to science education (even so there is a strong request from the government to address science as early as possible in a childs education). So we came up with a practical handbook -bottom right corner under “Literatur” and provide amazing customised trainings and projects in Australia and Europe.
